Watch the interview: Dr Alex Robb sheds light on coughing and respiratory issues in dogs.
Veterinarians are seeing increased cases of coughing and respiratory disease in dogs.
The disease is characterized by a persistent cough, which often escalates into more serious symptoms such as fatigue and fever. It could lead to pneumonia.
We’re seeing this in mostly young dogs who are socializing at parks, daycare, and boarding facilities.
If you are sending your dogs to boarding this holiday season, ask if they separate sick pets from well pets. Ask about their plan for quarantining sick pets. And how they help treat a sick dog who is in their care.
